The unflushables: Pee and Poo

Posted on August 21, 2010 by Axel dans My Toy box

According to Freud, children around 2 years would be obsessed with their dejection. Over 100 years later, a toy finally seems to fill this gap and reconcile them with the potty: Pee & Poo.

Pee is a yellow drop and Poo, a chunky brown dollop. These two “cute” characters were designed by Emma Meggitt while studying graphic design at the University of Gothenburg. This Scandinavian toy hit is also very successful in the U.S.: “They are horrible. But the children love them”.
Following the success of the cuddly toys that cost € 32, there are now T-shirts, underwear, key-chains…

“I wasn’t sure who would buy the toys but it turns out that kids absolutely love them,” says Ms Meggitt. “With the cuddly toys, kids aren’t sure if they are allowed to give them a hug – and then they think it’s great.” But it seems to be rather the parents who buy Pee & Poo, for the joke.
Up for a good laugh? You can get your Pee and Poos on the Pee and Poo web store or in one of the shops listed in the retailers section of the website.
